Iran’s Khamenei slams Trump, calls Israel a ‘cancerous tumor’ after Middle East trip, escalating tensions.

Following President Donald Trump’s Middle East tour, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei unleashed a scathing verbal assault on the United States and Israel. In a post on X, Khamenei branded Trump a liar, dismissing his pledge to wield power for peace as hollow rhetoric. "His remarks are so shallow they shame America," Khamenei wrote, accusing the U.S. of fostering dependency among Sunni Arab nations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Khamenei, whose regime has been labeled the world’s top state sponsor of antisemitism by the Trump administration, called Israel a "cancerous tumor" that must be eradicated. He also accused the U.S. of fueling conflict in Gaza and arming "mercenaries" while supporting Hamas, Iran’s ally and a U.S.-designated terrorist group responsible for the October 7, 2023, attack that killed over 1,200 people.

Trump, during his visits to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, pointed to Iran as the region’s primary source of instability, citing its role in conflicts across Syria, Lebanon, and beyond. He urged Tehran to abandon its illicit nuclear ambitions, warning that Iran’s aging infrastructure and corrupt systems are crumbling. "While skyscrapers rise in Jeddah, Tehran’s landmarks decay," Trump quipped, highlighting Iran’s internal struggles.

Analysts suggest Khamenei’s outburst reflects Iran’s weakened position after military setbacks from Israel and growing domestic discontent. Trump’s push for a nuclear deal could further corner Tehran, leveraging his diplomatic edge to curb Iran’s nuclear threat.

Editor's Comments

Khamenei’s shouting match with Trump feels like a tired rerun of a bad sitcom—same old insults, no new plot. Meanwhile, Iran’s nuclear dreams and crumbling dams are the real drama nobody’s watching. Why rage at skyscrapers when your own rivers are running dry? Maybe Tehran needs a new scriptwriter.
